The posts that are posted on the CNN website are about things happening around the world right now. The article that I thought was most interesting was about The Sandy storm on the east coast. The things that have happened to all those people is horrible! I can't even imagine losing everything I have, and trying to stay alive while a huge storm takes over my hometown.

The Sandy storm blew a ton of snow all over New York and probably some other states too. This storm caused a lot of damage to the east coast states.

On the CNN website, they have many many articles about different things going on in the world today. You can find anything from weather, to political news!

Fall Break!!

Over fall break last week, I did nootthiinngg. haha, I got to sleep in and relax,  it was great. I also started packing up my room, because me and my family are moving on saturday! I soo can't wait to move, I'm so excited :) I just hate packing because I don't know where to put all my stuff...

My parents were both working pretty much all day last week, so I couldn't go out or doing anything, because I had no ride :/ oh well. It's good to relax anyway.

Soo..next week is Halloween! I've always loved Halloween :) This year I'm going to be a dark fairy. Not creepy or anything, just..dark. I'm gonna wear dark clothing I guess you could say, haha. I'm not sure if I'm gonna go trick or treating though, since I'm seventeen and trick or treating seems childish..but I love dressing up and getting free candy :P This would be my last chance at trick or treating anyway, since next year I'll be eighteen.

I'm a weird person. And I'm not afraid to admit it! Of course, everyone is weird in their own way. I believe that's a good thing :) If we were all the same, liked the same things, the world would be suuucch a boring place! Some people just don't get it.

I hate when someone judges me and criticizes me for what I look like or for how I act. I am not perfect, and I know it. And that doesn't mean someone has to bring me down for that, they aren't perfect either! I try not to let those kind of things get to me. Maybe they hate because they're just jealous..? I don't know, maybe that's it.

Everyone is beautiful in their own way. :) There's no reason whatsoever to bring others down. Even if they were mean to you, or annoying, you need to be the bigger person and just let it go. Don't strike back, you can't fight fire with fire, you know?

I know how hard it is when someone hurts you verbally, and you want to hurt them back. But that won't solve anything! Just let it go! Or let them know how that makes you feel when they say things you don't like, or stop hanging out with them.

I looovvee music soo much! I can''t go a day without listening to it! I listen to mostly pop, and a lil country and rap. I love Christian music too. :)

Cats vs. Dogs

Some people like dogs better...and some people like dogs better. I don't think i really have a favorite. i guess it all depends on which cat and which dog it is. Some dogs are mean, or annoying, and some cats are mean and annoying.

My friends cats are super cute ans sweet, they don't bite or scratch much. But some cats are grumpy, or just have a lot of attitude.

Some dogs are mean. Like if someone treats their dog wronger, so they become vicious and don't trust people. but some people just prefer cats because they don't usually run away, and they don't chew on everything they see.

My dog is very sweet, and she loves attention from people. :) She gets a little crazy sometimes, especially when we first get home from school. Or when visitors come over. She is so precious :))

Favorite Hairstyles

Here is some of my favorite hairstyles! :)

Side braid: I pull all of my hair to one side of my head, and braid it.
Straightened: I straighten my hair with a straightening iron.
Curly: I usually spiral curl my hair with a curling wand.
Ponytail: I pull of my hair back, and put it into a ponytail.
Katniss braid: The braid Katniss had in the Hunger Games.
Wavy: I braid all my hair the night before in small braids all over my head, and take it out in the morning and hairspray it.
Braided side bangs: I braid my side bangs and pin it with bobby pins(side french braid also).
Bun: I'll gather all my hair, and put it in a bun on top of my head, or on the back of my head.

Why I Think Students Should be Able to Have Their Phones in School

Students should be allowed to keep their phones with them in school, instead of having to turn it in. They should also be allowed to use it during lunch, so they can text/call someone if they need to. During class they can leave it turned off in their backpacks, so it doesn't disturb class. Another reason why students should be allowed to have their phones during school, is because it will be easier if they have to make a quick call to their parents or someone else, it will be much faster than having to go to the office.

            Using your phone in class obviously is not good, but I think that if you use it during lunch or between classes would be alright. Just as long as it is turned off during class, then it shouldn’t be a problem. Teachers should not make such a big deal out of students not turning in their cell phones. At my old school, we were allowed to keep our phones turned off in our backpacks during class, and at lunch we were allowed to use them and iPods too. We were also allowed to use it as a calculator during math class!

            After school, I believe teachers do not have a right to take your phone away if they find out you didn’t turn it in. It is after schools hours, therefore, they no longer have power over you. They cannot take something of yours if school is over for the day. In a way, turning in your cellphone is a good thing, because texting during class takes your focus off the teacher. It can be very distracting. But if you can have it during school and just turn it off and leave it in your backpack and only have it during lunch, that would be great!

My Pets :)

My first pet was a dog, named Makita. My parents bought her before I was born, and she died at the age of 13 when I was 10 years old. Since she was my first dog and she had been there all my life, it was really hard to see her die. :( She had to be put down because I think her spleen or something ruptured, and she was internally bleeding. She had cancer as well. I watched her being put down. It was one of the hardest things i had ever seen happen. :(

My third and fourth pet were two rabbits, Molly and Rory. :) They were so cute and snugly, I loved them will all my heart. Molly was such a fattie, she would always steal Rory's food because he eats slower than her and is a little smaller than her. I had to get rid of them when i moved across country, because rabbits don't do well with traveling. :( I miss them very much.

My fourth pet was another dog, Penny! She was the opposite of Makita. She was crazy, she would randomly start running around the yard like a maniac. It was really funny though :P She also really loved to play bite, which hurts because her teeth are so sharp. She finally cut that out. Penny is now almost 7 years old, and she's much much calmer than she was a few years ago.

For a few weeks a had a pet mouse, Olivia. She escaped from her ball one day, and she was running around our house for about a week, then my dad caught her and put her back in her cage. But she wasn't there for long..She escaped again! She must have somehow squeezed her little body through the bars in her cage. My dad set glue traps all over the house, and she got stuck in one of them..the one that was in my room! I cried so hard, it was hard to watch her die. I got really attached to her in those few weeks.

About 4 months ago, I got a pet turtle! My boyfriend caught her in a creek for me :) She's sooo cute! I named her Telulah, Lula for short. She lives in my room, in a 10 gallon turtle tank. She eats worms, but recently I've been giving her store bought turtle food. She seems to enjoy that. :P Lula is so precious, I love her to pieces. :)

Trip to California, Summer 2012

July 6-16, 2012 I went to California! Me and my family stayed at my aunt and uncles apartment, in San Diego. We got there around 9:30 PM, 12:30 AM our time. So were were very tired! And we woke up super early, because it was actually sleeping in, if we were back home. Jetlag is very fun. At all.

My aunt and uncle live near a bunch of restaurants, and one of them is a Mexican restaurant, so I went there and got carne asada burritos aaalll the time! They don't have that where I live now. It makes me really sad.

On my first full day in Cali, I went to the mall with a bunch of my old friends! I missed them so much, it was really great to see them again.

On Sunday, I went to my old church and got to see all my old friends there. :) After church, me and my family went to In-N-Out and met our family friends, the Parks there. Afterwards, we went to the beach for the first time in over a year! It was amazing! I missed the beach soo much, and swimming in the ocean. :)

For the next week, we visited old friend, and went to the beach a million times, it was great. When it was finally time to go home, I was sad because I wasn't able to see a few of my good friends, and I wasn't able to visit some places I really wanted to go to. It's really hard to cram a bunch of activities in only 10 days!

My Birthday!! :)

This past Tuesday was my birthday! I just turned 17. :) It was a great birthday. I brought donuts to my Bible class at school, and everyone really liked them and wished me a happy birthday :) My mom brought me fazoli's for lunch, and my friend Hannah made me a bunch of cupcakes! She so sweet :) The cupcakes looked and tasted amazing.

That night I went to Hananoki, a Japanese steakhouse. The food was so good! my grandparents came from West Virginia to celebrate my birthday with me, and my boyfriend came to dinner with me as well. My mom and dad and brother were there also. I had a blast! :)

A bunch of people from school wished me a happy birthday, and sang to me. My friends from California wished my a happy birthday over facebook :) My cousins and aunt and uncle from Oklahoma called me to sing me happy birthday and say hi. :) I love my family! They"re so great!

Yesterday, I got a happy birthday card from my nana and cousins in Australia! She also gave me some pictures of my family who live in Australia. I loved it! :)

This year I had a really great birthday, even though most of my family couldn't be there with me. I usually have a birthday dinner with my aunts and uncles and cousins in California, but not this year :( I was sad, but I still had fun. :) This is also the first year I haven't had a birthday party with all my friends. I usually do that, but I didn't feel like it this year. This year, all I wanted was to have a few people at my birthday dinner, so that's what I did. :)

The Hunger Games

The Hunger Games is my favorite book ever!! The movie is amazing too :) I can't wait till the second movie in the trilogy comes out, Catching Fire. It was a great book as well. I bet the movie will be great too :) It comes out November 23, 2013! Man...that seems really far away. The last book in the trilogy, Mockingjay, was a very good book also! :)

The Hunger games is about North America, in the future, which is then called Panem. Panem is ruled by the Capitol, and they control 12 districts. Every year one boy and one girl between the ages of 12-18 are chosen to fight till the death in an arena, on live TV. There are 24 tributes, and only one winner. Katniss volunteers as tribute when her little sister, Prim, is chosen. Katniss has to make sure to win so she can keep her mother and sister from starving, because Katniss usually provided the food.

When the Hunger Games movie came, I wasn't really interested in seeing it, because I didn't know what it was about and I didn't read the books. But my friend begged to go see it with her, so I did and I loved it! Then I decided to read the books, and I really enjoyed them. Can't wait to see the other two movies!! :)

My Week

This week, I've had a lot of fun so far! On Monday after school, I went to get fitted for my cheer uniform. Can't wait till I can try it on! Cheering is so much fun, I can't wait till the first basketball game of the season, so I can cheer with my team :) Then on Tuesday, I went to a potluck at my chiropractors, and everyone who came brought a healthy dish. It was really good! And today after school, I have to go to a four hour class on something about driving...I'm not sure exactly what it is. I wish I didn't have to go to the class today, because now I'm gonna miss youth group at my church :/ Thursday, I have cheer practice after school! Can't wait for that :P Then on Friday after school, I have my tumbling class. I love my tumbling class because it really works my muscles and increases my flexibility skills :) I can now do a back bend kick over! I've been working on that for about a month now. When I was younger, I took gymnastics for a few years but got tired of it, so I quit. It didn't take me long to get the strength back to do it again though! (: And..that's basically my whole week! Oh, and my birthday is in about 2 weeks! I can't wait, I totally love birthday's :D This year my birthday is on a weekday, which I'm kinda sad because i don't like going to school on my birthday..I'd rather stay home and relax, but oh well :) I'm also sad that I won't be able to celebrate my birthday with my friends back in California like I do every year :( I miss them, but they'll text or call me and wish me a happy birthday :) Friends are great <3

California

June of 2011, I moved from San Diego, California to Lexington, Kentucky. For about a month, me and my family lived with my grandparents in Huntington, West Virginia until we found a house in Lexington. The move was really hard since I had to leave all my friends and family. I still miss California a lot. I have recently started getting used  to living here, and I'm learning to like it. Kentucky is very very different from California. California has a beach and palm trees everywhere, and hardly ever gets cold. Kentucky has a lot of plants everywhere and a bunch of huge bugs, and gets super cold in the winter. I miss the beach really badly, and my friends, I miss more than anything. I also had to get rid of my two rabbits, Molly and Rory, because rabbits don't do well traveling across country. :( That made me very sad. I had lived in the same house in California fro over 15 years, so when we had to leave it, I was very upset, but it's also fun to live in a new house and have a different room and everything. July of 2012, me and my family visited all our friends and family in California, and it was so much fun. We went to the beach almost everyday, and we got to eat at all the restaurants that Kentucky doesn't have. It was a blast seeing everyone again, but it was also good to go back home to Kentucky, because I like sleeping in my own bed better. I miss California a lot, but I'm learning to love Kentucky as well. :)

Another week at Bluegrass Baptist School! Studying, studying, and more studying. Can't for the weekend so I can finally relax for a while and sleep in :) This week I went to cheer leading practice, and tomorrow I will be going to my gymnastics/tumbling class. I really enjoy tumbling and cheer leading, and I hope to take a dance class soon. I also love to ride horses and take care of them, but I haven't been able to ride in over a year, which makes me sad :( One day, I hope to get a couple horses and maybe a few other farm animals. I can't afford any horses right now, but one day I hope to be able to :) Yesterday was the first day of youth group at my church but i wan't able to go because my grandparents came over from West Virginia, and i wanted to spend time with them. My church doesn't have youth group during the summer, so i was bummed that I wasn't able to go for the first time in about 3 months, but at least I got to hang out with my amazing grandparents. :)  This weekend, I will be babysitting 2 children that i have never met before..that seems a little weird, but I know their parents and so does my mom. I've never babysat anyone except my cousins, Morgan and Aubrey. Morgan is 4 and Aubrey is almost a year old. It'll be weird babysitting children I've never met, but I like kids, so I'm sure I'll be fine :) I can't wait to meet then! This should be a good weekend! :)
